์คํ : The proof of various abilities which job seekers have
‘์คํ’ is from the English word ‘spec’ which is the contraction of ‘specification’, and it means the characteristic, function or performance of a certain product. ย By the way, we began to use the word ‘์คํ’ as the meaning of ‘์ทจ์ ์ ์ํด ๊ฐ์ถ๊ณ ์๋ ๋ฅ๋ ฅ (ability which is needed for finding a job), by comparing the job seekers to the products as if they are the products sold to the company. ย We often say ‘์คํ์ด ์ข๋ค/๋์๋ค (spec is good/bad)’or ‘์คํ์ ์๋ค (build a spec)’, and we use it for anything needed for finding a job such as in ‘์คํ ๊ด๋ฆฌ (spec management)’, ‘์ธ๋ชจ ์คํ (appearance spec)’ and ‘ํฉ๊ฒฉ ์คํ (pass spec)’.
Lately, the word ‘์คํ’ย earned a negative meaning as people useย ‘์คํ’ for almost everything which would help with finding a job such as school ties, regionalism, blood ties and even appearance which does not have anything to do with ability or skill.
๋ฌธ์ ์จ ์ค ๋ชฐ๋์ด (I didn’t notice that I got a text message) : This expression has the meaning that โ์ด์ ์์ผ ์์๋ค (I just noticed late)” rather than โ๋ชฐ๋๋ค (did not know).โ

Just after realizing that you got a message, you can say “๋ฌธ์ ์จ ์ค ๋ชฐ๋์ดย (I didn’t notice that I got a text message)”. As such, you can say “์ ํ ์จ ์ค ๋ชฐ๋์ด (I didn’t know I got a call)” and “๋ฉ์ผ ๋ณด๋ธ ์ค ๋ชฐ๋์ด (I didn’t know you sent me an email)” after noticing that you got an email or a call. ย This expression emphasizes the meaning, “์ด์ ์์ผ ์์๋ค (I just noticed late)ย rather than โ๋ชฐ๋๋ค (did not know)”.

์์ (Wanso) : be completely precious
“์์” is an abbreviated form of “์์ ์์คํ๋ค (์์ [completely] + ์์คํ๋ค [to be precious]). ย A few years ago, some Koreans started calling their favorite celebrities in TV series or movies as “์์”. ย However, just recently,ย “์์” is widely used not only for persons but also for certain items. ย “์์ [complete]” refers to “the condition that something is flawless and as great as it possibly can be”.
“์์” is usually followed by a noun such asย “์์ ์์ดํ (my precious item)”,ย “์์๋จ(my precious man)”,ย “์์๋ (my precious lady)”, ย etc.
