❄️ Winter Korean Classes for Children & Teens | December 2026 & January 2027
Help your child build Korean skills step by step this winter! The Korean Tutor offers online Korean classes for children and teens, with structured lessons and guided practice suited to each student’s current level.
Using the Focus Korean curriculum, students develop their Korean through Hangeul, pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and speaking activities.

The December Winter Practice & Communication Term helps students strengthen the Korean they have already learned. Rather than focusing on a large amount of new textbook material, this special term emphasizes review, repetition, guided practice, and communication.

Selected classes feature extended practice sessions, giving students additional time for guided activities, pronunciation, listening comprehension, grammar review, reading, writing, and speaking practice.
With more time to practice at a comfortable pace, students can reinforce their understanding, ask questions, and become more confident using Korean.

Yes! New students may join if they already have the foundation required for their selected class.
Returning students can continue practicing their current or completed level. New students with equivalent knowledge may enroll if they meet the listed prerequisites.
Complete beginners may prefer to start with January Children’s Beginner Level 1A, which is designed for students starting Korean from the beginning.

👧🏻 December Children & Teens Classes
Children’s Level 1A
Sunday | 1:45–2:15 PM PT | 30 minutes
📅 Class Dates: December 6 and 13, 2026
❌ No Class: December 14, 2026–January 7, 2027 (holiday break)
Practice Korean vowels, consonants, syllable blocks, reading, writing, and pronunciation. This level focuses on Hangeul and foundational literacy; sentence building is not introduced yet.
Prerequisite: Currently taking or have completed Children’s Level 1A.
Children’s Level 1D
Tuesday | 5:05–5:45 PM PT | 40 minutes
📅 Class Dates: December 1 and 8, 2026
❌ No Class: December 14, 2026–January 7, 2027 (holiday break)
Reinforce compound vowels, double consonants, final consonants, and different syllable structures through guided reading, writing, pronunciation, and repetition.
This level continues to focus on Hangeul rather than sentence building.
Prerequisite: Currently taking or have completed Children’s Level 1D.
Children’s Level 1E / 2A
Tuesday | 6:05–6:35 PM PT | 30 minutes
📅 Class Dates: December 1 and 8, 2026
❌ No Class: December 14, 2026–January 7, 2027 (holiday break)
Practice familiar words, basic nouns and verbs, simple sentence patterns, short sentences, and beginning questions, depending on the student’s current level.
Prerequisite: Currently taking or have completed Children’s Level 1E or 2A.
Children’s Level 2F
Sunday | 11:00–11:40 AM PT | 40 minutes

❌ No Class: December 14, 2026–January 7, 2027 (holiday break)
Reinforce sentence building and everyday Korean through useful vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and guided conversation. Students practice answering questions, expressing ideas, and forming longer sentences.
Prerequisite: Currently taking or have completed Children’s Level 2F.
🗣️ Children’s Natural Korean Speaking Lab
Sunday | 10:20–10:50 AM PT | 30 minutes
📅 Class Dates: December 6 and 13, 2026
❌ No Class: December 14, 2026–January 7, 2027 (holiday break)
Practice pronunciation, rhythm, intonation, sentence production, everyday expressions, and guided questions and answers. The goal is to help students become more comfortable speaking and responding in Korean.
Prerequisite: Appropriate current or completed Korean level.

Course Length: 6 sessions per class

January classes help children and teens continue developing Korean with structured lessons and age-appropriate guided practice.
📅 Important: Choose ONE Schedule Option
Some classes offer two schedule options to make enrollment more flexible.
When registering, choose Option 1 OR Option 2 for your child’s selected class. Your child does not attend both days. Each option is an alternative schedule for the same class level and includes six sessions.

Children’s Beginner Level 1A — Option 1

Designed for young beginners with no previous Korean experience. Students start learning Hangeul, Korean vowels and consonants, pronunciation, and the fundamentals of reading and writing.
Prerequisite: None.
Children’s Beginner Level 1A — Option 2

Children’s Beginner Level 2A

Begin building Korean sentences using basic verbs, nouns, particles, and simple sentence patterns.
Prerequisite: Completion of Beginner Level 1 or equivalent knowledge, including the ability to read Hangeul.
Children’s Beginner Level 2G
Sunday | 11:15–11:40 AM PT | 25 minutes

Expand Korean communication skills through sentence patterns, useful vocabulary, everyday expressions, dialogues, reading, and speaking.
Prerequisite: Ability to understand and form simple Korean sentences using familiar vocabulary, basic particles, and common grammar.

Develop pronunciation, rhythm, and natural speaking skills through repetition and guided speaking activities to help students speak Korean more clearly and confidently.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of Hangeul and clear basic Korean pronunciation.

📚 How Our Children’s Korean Levels Work
Beginner Level 1 focuses on Hangeul. Students learn to recognize, read, write, and pronounce Korean letters and syllables.
Sentence building begins at Beginner Level 2. Students begin using vocabulary, particles, verbs, and simple sentence patterns to communicate.
Returning students can continue at their current or next appropriate level. New students may enroll when they meet the prerequisites for their chosen class.

Program Information
All children’s courses are structured into progressive levels (1A–1E, 2A–2E, etc.) to ensure steady development.
Some levels may extend into additional sections depending on curriculum depth and learning needs.
Classes are designed to build long-term fluency through structured repetition, guided practice, and consistent exposure.
Calendar
We offer year-round Korean courses in structured 6-week terms for children ages 3–14.
Each term is carefully designed to maintain engagement, motivation, and consistent learning progress.
Schedule
Each course includes weekly live instruction with a native-speaking instructor.
Shorter session formats are intentionally designed to improve focus, retention, and engagement for younger learners.

All classes are conducted online via Zoom, allowing flexible access from anywhere.
