Frequently Asked Questions

When are classes offered?
We typically hold classes on weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons, all in Pacific Time (PT, California). We’re in the process of expanding our schedule to accommodate students from different time zones.

I can’t find my confirmation email. What should I do?
Since we manually send out confirmation emails, there might be a brief delay. If it’s missing, check your spam or junk folder in case it was accidentally filtered.

What is your policy on cancellations and refunds?
Please note that all tuition payments are final—non-refundable and non-transferable.

What happens if I miss a class? Can I make it up?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up sessions or refunds for missed classes due to illness, emergencies, or any unforeseen events outside of our control. If a student notifies the instructor in advance of an anticipated absence, the full session will be recorded and made available for 30 days, allowing the student to review the material at their convenience.

Do I have to attend a minimum number of classes?
There’s no strict attendance requirement, but we appreciate a heads-up if you plan to miss a session.

Will I need textbooks, and where can I buy them?
Yes, textbooks are required for the course. They are not included in tuition and need to be purchased separately. You can buy them directly from TheKoreanTutor.com or other recommended retailers.

Will I get a certificate after completing the course?
We don’t issue certificates at this time for completing our courses.

Are these classes graded? Can I earn college credit?
These courses are not graded, and as a non-accredited program, we do not offer college credit.

What are Fast-track classes?
Fast-track courses are designed to cover more material in a shorter time frame, perfect for students who already have a background in Korean or those looking for a more intensive learning experience.

Do you offer courses for children?
Our programs are specifically designed for learners aged 15 and older. For children’s classes, please visit here.

How can I figure out which class level is right for me?
Take a look at our class descriptions to determine the best fit for your current skill level. Please remember to register for just one level each term to avoid any system conflicts.

Should I register for multiple levels if I’m unsure about my placement?
No need to sign up for more than one level. Registering for more than one class per term creates duplicate entries and limits availability for other students.

Do I need to re-register for each term if I’ve taken a class before?
Yes, all students need to register at the start of each new term, as previous registrations don’t carry over.

Do you provide visa or immigration support for international students?
Since we’re not an accredited institution, we’re unable to provide visa or immigration sponsorship.

Can I receive a diploma for completing a class?
As a non-degree program, we do not issue diplomas for course completion.
